Background:
Caritas Youth and Community Service launched the “Outstanding Volunteers Award Scheme” in 2002, which aims to nurture primary school students to learn to “love your neighbor” from an early age, to care for those in need around them through practical actions, and to convey God “Message of Love” and take responsibility.
Features:
Encourage primary school students to participate in different forms of voluntary work outside of the classroom, and train them to become good children who are willing to learn, good at communication, brave to assume, and dare to innovate.
Main Target:
Primary 4th to 6th grade students
Award Scheme:
- Volunteer Service
Every school year, all participating primary school students who have served 30 hours or more will receive a “Red Medal” and a certificate; students who have participated in the second consecutive year who have served 30 hours or more will receive an “Orange Medal” and Certificate: Students who have participated for the third consecutive year who have served 30 hours or more will receive a “Yellow Medal” and a certificate and so on. - Outstanding Young Volunteer Award Ceremony
In order to encourage participating elementary school students, this award scheme holds an award ceremony for outstanding small volunteers every year, awarding certificates, medals and various service awards to commend them for their contributions to the school and the community.
