Service Introduction
The Hall commenced service on 1 September 2017 to provide residential care services for adolescent girls who have behavioural and emotional problems, or who may be under the influence of undesirable peers or having relationship problems with their families, and hence require a period of out-of-home care. A government-aided School for Social Development, Caritas Mother Teresa School, provides a mainstream curriculum located at the same premises to provide a holistic education to the students.
With the subvention of the Social Welfare Department, the Hall began to start a new section, Girls’ Home without School on-site, which provides out-of-home care services for teenage girls aged 12 to under 21 who are deprived of family support, but studying or taking full-time jobs in the community starting from March 2024.
Mission
To actualize the Vision and Mission of Caritas – Hong Kong, the Hall strives to provide high-quality services to teenage girls with family, behavioural or emotional difficulties by rendering stable routines and warm hostel lives. The ultimate goal is to build up their resilience and personal strengths to cope with different challenges.
