Caritas Jockey Club Artkids Studio

Service Objetive

Caritas Jockey Club Artkids Studio is a platform combining art and dyslexia service, funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and organised by Caritas Hong Kong.
“There is right and wrong in exams, but not in art.” We believe every child is born with creativity and potential. By entitling our dyslexic students “Artkids”, we anticipate the power of art will help students to explore their unique personalities and boundless possibilities.
The project aims to provide progressive and diversified art training in which Artkids can build up their learning motivation, self-awareness and self-expression, cultivate their knowledge and confidence, hence stimulate the imagination of their future. Through collaborative art services and showcases, we endeavor to spread the creations and spirit of Artkids to every corner of Hong Kong. “There are no disabilities, only possibilities!”

Service Target

Dyslexic primary school students / Low academic achievement students

A series of art workshops designed and taught by local artists for primary students with dyslexia. The progressive art training equips Artkids with knowledge and skills for expressing themselves through creation, building up self-confidence, hence understanding the possibility of everything in the universe.

Art+Adults=Artdults! A team of art-loving volunteers with passion, love and creativity. You are welcome to join us by participating in our training and activities. Grow with us and make a difference!

Let’s share some fun and quality family time! It is a great opportunity for the family to engage in art out of school and home. Art programme with diverse themes and forms will be rolled out, in hopes of extending our understanding and imagination of art.

It provides a platform for parents to acknowledge art-related activity for families that can spend time together and also enables parents to use Art as a tool to relieve their parental pressure under the pandemic period.

Custom-made programme will be organised for social workers, teachers and art practitioners. We strive to explore the impact and possibility of cross-disciplinary collaboration, fostering discussion and development of art and special education.

We provide various art services to corporates and organizations. Past commissions include window design and painting, wall art making, menu design, wooden chair painting, facilitation of art experience for elderly, etc. Participating Artkids share part of the generated income to continue their journey of talent development, while the rest will be paid it forward to charities chosen by them.

Our Artkids’ artworks are full of imaginations and interesting ideas! Making use of Artkids’ creations, we launched our own designed products, including stationery, accessories, fabric products etc. And you are welcome to order custom-made products. Scan QR code for sales channels and more information!

To arouse public attention on art education and social services, we engage in collaborative projects so as to showcase our Artkids’ creations on different platforms. Besides setting up web museums and social media platforms, organising exhibitions and participating in art fairs. We welcome any kind of co-creations. We believe our synergy could help facilitating a better world that embrace diversities and possibilities!
