Service Overview
Through the set up of “Wah Fu Living Hall” as a base for community development and a series of placemaking programme, Caritas would like to discover the stories and community network of residents and Small Shops of Wah Fu Estate, and to organize the stakeholders of Wah Fu Estate for the collective documentation of Wah Fu Narrative guided by their perspectives, and for the co-creation of vision for their future community life
Fostering community participation by the process of placemaking, connecting diverse stakeholders to explore and preserve the cultural heritage of Wah Fu Estate, thereby strengthening residents’ sense of identity and its continuity within the new housing estate following redevelopment.
Individuals with life experience in Wah Fu Estate
Hosting public lectures and visit to let Wah Fu residents to explore recent practice, and exchange the ideas with cultural documentation practitioners, in order to foster the interest and confidence of residents in cultural documentation while broadening their perspectives on the practical methods of recording.
Holding“Wah Fu Encyclopedia Workshops”, “Small Object Narrative Workshops”, and “Wah Fu Community Guided Tour Workshop” to cultivate residents’ abilities, skills, and confidence in cultural documentation and expression.
Launching the ‘Public Estate Alumni Association’ and ‘Wah Fu Festival’ to promote small-scale cultural documentation projects and a Wah Fu Estate reminiscence-sharing platform, fostering collaboration of residents and stakeholders in rediscovering and appreciating the community values embodied within cultural documentation.
