Service Introduction
Through the establishment of dedicated wellness spaces in the community, the initiative has provided support to over 20,000 young people to date. Research shows that young people who used the service reported a 43% reduction in anxiety symptoms and a 32% decrease in stress levels.
The project also nurtures a new generation of youth service workers, with over 140 registered social workers having received relevant training. Building on the encouraging results of the first phase, the second phase will set up 45 youth-friendly wellness spaces across all 18 districts in Hong Kong and establish LevelMind Hubs and Student Wellness Clubs in 130 secondary schools. These hubs and clubs will be co-created and driven by students to foster a sense of ownership and collaboration.
The program will also offer mental wellness self-management courses for students and teachers, promoting healthy and caring campuses and communities.
Additionally, the initiative will integrate with the Jockey Club Online Youth Emotional Support Platform, “Open Up”, and the LevelMind eClinic to provide a seamless, round-the-clock online and offline mental health service. This ensures that young people can receive thoughtful and timely support whenever they need it.
