Caritas Project Hyacinth Enrichment Service for Young Mothers
Service Overview
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated support for young mothers. Two initiatives – “Passage to Empowerment: A Journey for Resources Navigation and Mental Health Enhancement of Young Mothers” and “Project Cotton Tree – Employment and Support Service for Teenage Mother” were supported by The Community Chest of Hong Kong, and “Rosewood Foundation Career Pathways” was sponsored by the Rosewood Foundation.
We aim to assist young mothers in managing the emotional and practical challenges associated with unplanned pregnancies, while supporting them in balancing their caregiving responsibilities with their personal growth and development. It also seeks to strengthen family and community support networks, promoting the healthy and positive development of both the mothers and their children.
- Pregnant young women aged 24 or below
- Young mothers aged 24 or below with children aged 2 or below
- Individual support series：Case follow-up, emotional support, and parenting knowledge and preparation.
- Support for new mothers：Pre- and post-natal seminars, infant care guidance, and parenting education.
- Family support services：Couples counselling, relationship adjustment support, and family activities.
- Parent–child support：Parent–child activities, playgroups, and positive parenting education.
- Career and life development：Guidance and support for returning to education, vocational training, and internship programmes.
- Peer support network：Peer home visits, personal growth groups, and interest-based activities.
- Personal development support：Self-awareness and personal growth workshops, self-care and wellness workshops, and sexuality and relationship education workshops.
