Hostel-Choi Wan
Serving Objective
Currently this is the unique hostel in Hong Kong providing multiple and continuing accommodation service for female individuals and families in crisis. During the period of stay, the hostel provides individual counseling service, recreational activities, festival celebration, educational and social programmes to the residents from which the residents could be benefited in equipping their problem-solving skills and preparing them for future independent living.
Residential care for women aged 18+ (32 beds)
This is a multi-purpose hostel comprising 18 single rooms, 4 family rooms for single mothers and their children, and 3 rooms for unmarried mothers. All rooms are private and self-contained.
- To encourage residents to seek employment outside the hostel, the facility is open from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM daily.
- Each room is equipped with independent air-conditioning and hot and cold water supply.
- The hostel also features a
cooking area (no open flame), a multi-purpose activity room for residents to rest, watch TV, and read, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access.
- To encourage residents to seek employment outside the hostel, the facility is open from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM daily.
- Capable of self and personal care;
- No disturbing behaviors;
- Free from undesirable habits and behaviors, and deemed suitable for communal living;
- Free from infectious diseases;
- Recipients of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance or individuals with low income.
6 months, extendable to 24 months when necessary.
- Fee (Monthly)
- Rooms for Singleton: $2,515
- Rooms for Family: $4440 (2 persons), $5,330 (3 persons)
