JC YUP!
Service Overview
“JC YUP!” is a pioneering initiative created and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The project is designed to unlock the potential of underprivileged youth by supporting them through key educational and career transitions, empowering them with hope, purpose, and direction.
Secondary Students
From junior secondary to senior secondary and into early employment, JC YUP! provides a scaffolded journey of support that nurtures student agency and equips them with real-world experiences and accredited training. The project aims to build the confidence, skills, and networks necessary for youth to pursue meaningful futures and thrive in an ever-evolving world of work.
JC YUP! is also the first youth development project in Hong Kong to adopt an adaptive intervention model ensuring our support is tailored to meet each student’s individual needs and pace of growth. A novel Report Card 360 (RC360) is designed to be a developmental tool that profiles the strength of every student, showcasing their full potential beyond academic grades.
By redefining success and broadening the definition of talent, JC YUP! encourages future employers and stakeholders to recognise and value the diverse strengths of Hong Kong’s next generation.
Collaborating with 25 partners, JC YUP! will benefit students across 50 secondary schools in its pilot stage in 5 years.
