Service Goal：
The project aims at providing a short-term shelter for low-income families facing housing crisis by utilizing hotel and hostel facilities.

Service Vision:
In formal social welfare system, there are shelters for single adults, women facing domestic violence, and deprived children and youth aged under 18, but no spaces for a whole family facing other crisis. However, the recent pandemic and economic distress puts families into various crises that beyond their coping capacity. This project aims to fill the service gap for families facing housing crisis by utilizing hotel and hostel facilities to provide short-term shelter.

Service Target:

1. Families with 2 to 4 members, who are Hong Kong residents; and
2. With breadwinner(s) being unemployed or underemployed, or with an average monthly household income; and
3. Living in Sub-divided flats and/or facing housing crisis.
4. Priority given to families with children aged below 12, or with members having chronic illness.

* Every application required a referral from a social worker

• Short-term accommodation （2 weeks to 2 months）
• Hotline and WhatsApp service
• Counselling service
• Future housing planning sessions
• Social resources consultation sessions
• Programs depending on families’ needs
• Provide education materials
• Referral service of job opportunities
• Referral service of food assistance service
• Referral service of community centre‘s education courses
